Hi we are Keyne and Elise, both 17 years old and studying social care with the aim of becoming social workers. At the beginning of the year we decided to volunteer with Djakonija in our parish of M’scala, assisting people in need. We know that many of our peers are keen to help, but also noticed they often dont know where to start from. We know that we can do so much more and thus through the coordination of parish djakonija (loop.mt) we came up with ‘Supporting New Beginnings’. To increase awareness and invite more people in supporting others. We are still young and figuring out our lives but that doesn’t mean we cant help others figure out theirs. Join us here!

This summer we would like you to join us at having a look at the work of diaconia, that many in the church carry out amongst people who find themselves in difficult situations. Together we will grow in awareness of the areas of need that we see around us, and also come up with ideas for initiatives and tasks that could continue to strengthen the development of our communities. Together we will have the chance to experience the work of the diaconia while being witnesses of a generation of young people who are aware, motivated and interested in helping those in need!
